The versatile Remora is a compact diving bell designed for underwater exploration and diving operations. With its automated depth control, emergency systems, and adaptable design, it's perfect for ocean floor exploration, underwater repairs, and supporting diving expeditions when paired with the Mobula catamaran. For convenience, you can also download the pre-combined package with the Remora already installed on the Mobula.
NOTE: You are free to modify and use this diving bell in your own builds (and also publish it to the workshop). Just add a link to this creation in the description. If you add the diving bell and want to remove the floats (they might not suit your creation), go ahead and just remember to move the microcontrollers hidden in the floats first.
This diving bell offers:
- Compatible adapter with single hardpoint connector body (which should be powered) for easy installation on various vessels
- Fully self-sufficient systems beyond power connection for versatile deployment
- Automated controls with manual backup systems
- Two interior seats and two exterior seats for divers
- Bottom hatch can remain open for free entry and exit underwater
- Air and power supplied from host vessel when attached
- Emergency air and power reserves
- Exterior, interior, and standby lighting systems
- Emergency ballast drop for automatic surfacing
- Mag All ground attachment capability
- Deep diving capability (can reach ocean floor)
- Simple one-touch surface return system
- Air quality monitor
- Diving suit required for deep pressure operations
- Diving equipment, including refill capability on the adapter
- Additional diving gear on the diving bell, including refill capability
Operation:
Ensure all systems and breakers are on (on the diving bell and its adapter), put on a diving suit, set desired depth, and the bell will automatically lower. When finished, simply press the "To Surface" button to return and reattach to the adapter. If reattachment issues occur, lower slightly and try again.
