Following the fate of the ill fated Object 44 prototype, BC Shipyards tried to improve on the design wich had showed promise. The front of the submarine was reworked, and the heavy armaments mounted closer to each other to create overlapping fields of fire. The object 45 is one impressively cheap and effective submarine, it is planned to be the model for a new class built by BC shipyard once the remainings kinks are ironed out.
