Forked Armaments v2

A fork of Enhanced Armaments, this mod aims to tailor the mod's experience for the OASIS Server and to apply my personal doctrine of balance and functionality.

  • Many guns in the mod can be suppressed or can have lasers attached - just as easily as you would attach a flashlight. Laser sights improve accuracy by 25%.
  • All of the weapons have been organized into a research system, meaning you have to actually interact with the weaker weapons before you reach the stronger weapons, increasing their use rate.
  • Chemical weaponry has been extensively overhauled and rebalanced. Instead of poisons that straight up kill you, Latex and Devils Blood have their own unique effects that can severely hamper your enemies' performance.
  • Alien guns, Caseless and 12.7x55mm weapons have been cut from the mod to streamline the mechanics and make them a bit easier to grasp.
  • Special-purpose 40mm grenades have been added, namely Denial grenades (basically landmines) and Airburst grenades that can be fired from beyond visual range to hopefully take out those pesky crawlers that keep running away.
  • Makeshift weapons can help arm the local slum-dweller in a pinch and are the start of your crafting journey.
  • Includes colored stats in the descriptions of most guns and some ammo which gives you more info about each gun's capabilities, including spread and fire rate.
  • Includes new and unique weapons like the Coalition Heavy SMG.

The biggest addition is a research system that locks weapons into tiers. You can buy them normally, but if you want to craft them, you need to research them in the Data Processor. You have two options: use raw materials, or disassemble weapons of that tier in the Data Processor to get Research Components. When you have enough components, you can unlock the recipes of a tier for yourself or your entire crew. The highest tier, Tier 4, lets you craft Prototype USB sticks instead of relying on buying or finding them.
