Since my 40kw generator ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3442432363 ) was oppressively heavy, I've made this lighter one. This version is light enough to be lifted by my Container Copter ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3032081339 ), so is much easier to deal with.
5kw is more than enough power to run a large electric motor at full throttle, so this generator is sufficient for many situations. Like the 40kw model, the electric furnace runs off the generator once the generator is spooled up, and thus this is effectively an infinite power device. Takes a minute and a half or so to get the boiler up to temp, and about 4-5 minutes to get to 5kw power generation (it tops out around 5500 w).
