The Wolfpack was devised by german descendants of Europa. U-Boat Designs and schematics of old World-War 2 submarines have been used and adjusted to modern standards. This is how Uplink was able to create a feasable submarine that will easily survive what will be thrown at it.
The submarine features a BVR (Beyon-Visual-Range) System in the navigation room. The computer console has a switch, that once used, will override any input the large gun operator will make. Using the console the button sits on, the gun can be aimed with the navigation controls. Using the button on the left sends a firing command. This would make it feasable to fire the railgun at sonar contacts.
Also the top and bottom airlocks feature an auto-close function. If the outer door is opened and motion sensors do not detect movement, they will close after 7.5 seconds
