Background
The Venarium are an artificial species engineered by the bio-military division of a distant interstellar empire. They were created by combining human DNA with that of a draconoid subspecies, designed to serve as biological weapons capable of operating in extreme environments.
Since birth, Venarium are subjected to mental-chain conditioning, instilling in them an unconditional loyalty to the Empire. Even when deployed on clearly suicidal missions, they obey without hesitation, taking pride in contamination and destruction. However, when kept away from imperial influence for too long, a small fraction begin to experience autonomous awakening — questioning their own existence and eventually escaping or rebelling.
Those who break away call themselves the Awakened. Much like newborns to the universe, they explore alien worlds with curiosity. They now wander the rimworlds, attempting to gather their scattered kin and build a civilization of their own.

Venarium genetics grant immunity to toxins and the negative effects of pollution.
Their weapons and armor are made from special alloys and fibers, requiring dedicated research and benches to refine raw minerals into Venarium-grade alloy.
They can cultivate Veipota Blossoms, whose petals can be made into sweet flower cakes; a genetically modified variant yields fiber.
Venarium firearms fire toxin-based ammunition.
A new Venarium Narrator has been added,
along with their corresponding unique equipment.
The special character will join the colony within 1–3 days after the start of the Venarium scenario.
If you do not want them to join, you can delete the Archon event in the scenario editor at the bottom.
The special character can only wear their corresponding equipment, but weapon choice is unrestricted.

Biotech DLC is required, as all gas-related work depends on it.
I aim to create a stable and immersive race mod — if it helps players experience life as a Venarium, that would be ideal.
Visuals and aesthetics are the primary focus; stat balance will reference vanilla standards whenever possible.
Q&A
Q: Are there other body shapes or genders?
A: Currently only female Venarium are included.
Male Venarium will be added later through an optional expansion mod, not by forcing updates.
Q: CE support?
A: Not yet — I haven’t studied it, and it may be very difficult for me.
Q: Can they wear equipment from other races?
A: Due to unique custom body sprites, clipping issues occur. To prevent auto-equipping non-Venarium clothing, they are restricted to their own outfits.

There has been a longer gap between updates this time. The main reason is that I began working on implementing a dedicated skill system for the Venarium.

This update primarily focuses on introducing new skill-based gameplay and laying the foundation for future development. Moving forward, I plan to continue expanding content in this direction with more unique abilities and related features.
Balance and numerical tuning may still need refinement. Thank you very much for all your feedback and suggestions — they are extremely valuable for future improvements.
